Katherine McQuillen - Wedding & Events Department Manager
After joining The Apartment Group back in 2010, Kat has coordinated weddings and events at all 3 of our award winning wedding venues and has recently moved into a new role as Wedding Department Manager.
What’s been your favourite project you’ve worked on at Apartment Group?
It has to be the opening of Le Petit Chateau. I was lucky enough to be involved from the beginning – it was hard work but the end result is incredible. I’m a little biased but I think it’s my favourite Apartment Group venue. Being able to say I was there at the very start and seeing systems and procedures I helped put in place in use now every day is an amazing feeling.
What do you love most about your job?
I love that you are always encouraged to go further. I’ve gone from working part-time front of house, to managing a big team of wedding coordinators in our Head Office (with a couple of steps in-between!). There is always room for progression – the Apartment Group wants you to be your best self, and they offer the support to help you get there.
What makes Apartment Group different?
Working in such a fast paced industry isn’t without its challenges but the constant innovation within the company is so much fun to be part of. There is always something new and exciting around the corner!
